e& UAE And Core42 Launch Sovereign AI Compute Platform
e& UAE and Core42 have launched an in-country GPU service that combines sovereign cloud infrastructure, national connectivity and deployment support for sensitive UAE workloads, while customer adoption, allocated capacity and public pricing remain untested.
A Sovereign AI Compute platform from e& UAE and Core42 gives UAE enterprises and government bodies in-country access to on-demand GPU infrastructure, moving the partnership from network and cloud assets into a managed AI deployment offer.
The platform combines Core42's Sovereign AI Cloud with e& UAE's national connectivity network.
The companies are pitching the service for organisations that want to build, train, fine-tune and deploy AI applications while keeping sensitive data inside the UAE.
Core42 Cloud And e& Connectivity Sit In One Offer
The wider e& UAE-Core42 partnership brings compute, private connectivity, local support and professional services into one commercial and operating framework rather than requiring customers to assemble those components separately.
The companies also introduced GPU Connect, a package that links GPU capability with premium e& UAE connectivity.
The offer targets government, healthcare, financial services, energy, education, retail, manufacturing and industrial customers, alongside large enterprises with sensitive workload requirements.
The deployment path is defined by where workloads run and how customers connect to them.
The launch material describes local GPU access, sovereign cloud infrastructure and implementation support, but it does not identify a production customer that has moved an application onto the service.
The Wider Core42 Stack Adds Scale And Model Access
Core42 says its wider Sovereign AI Cloud estate runs on more than 86,000 GPUs across sovereign data centres worldwide, with accelerator options from Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, Microsoft and Cerebras.
That figure describes Core42's broader infrastructure, not a disclosed allocation of 86,000 GPUs to this UAE service.
The company also describes Top500- and IO500-ranked computing and storage infrastructure for large training jobs and high-concurrency workloads.
Core42 says its Compass inference layer offers access to more than 50 commercial and open models spanning text, vision, speech and embeddings through one API, with tools for fine-tuning, agent workflows and production inference.
Those specifications give the partnership more technical depth than a connectivity bundle alone.
They still remain supplier descriptions: the launch provides no customer benchmark showing throughput, availability or cost for a workload running through Sovereign AI Compute.
Resilience Extends Beyond The Initial Compute Offer
The broader partnership includes Core42's Signature National Disaster Recovery Cloud, which is intended to keep government and critical-infrastructure services operating during national-scale disruption.
Data residency, encryption and enterprise access controls are presented as controls across the stack, linking the compute offer to continuity and compliance requirements.
e& UAE and Core42 also describe the platform as requiring no upfront capital expenditure and carrying zero egress fees.
No public pricing table or independent cost comparison accompanied the announcement, so those commercial terms remain vendor claims rather than a demonstrated customer saving.
The launch supports the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 by combining domestic compute, connectivity and operational support.
Its material test will come from named deployments, disclosed UAE capacity and service-level evidence that shows how the platform performs outside the launch package.
