Maverick Adds Findustry AI Agent To Chargeback Workflow
PYMNTS reported that Maverick Payments integrated Findustry AI's Chargeback Agent so partners can offer automated evidence collection, rebuttal building and chargeback response submission inside Maverick's payments platform.

Maverick Payments is adding Findustry AI's Chargeback Agent to its white-label payments platform, giving merchants and partners a way to automate more of the dispute workflow.
PYMNTS reported that the integration was announced in a Thursday, Aug. 13 press release emailed to the outlet.
The new access point sits inside the platform where Maverick partners already support merchant payment processing.
Chargeback Agent pulls records from merchant systems, maps each dispute to the relevant card-network reason-code rules, prepares the merchant response and files it after a chargeback arrives.
That workflow turns the product into an operational add-on rather than a separate back-office tool.
Merchants using the platform can contest disputes without separately navigating network rules or writing new code, while partners can offer the function through an existing processing relationship.
Maverick framed the integration around high-risk verticals, where disputed transactions can become both a revenue problem and a staffing burden.
Dimaggio, who oversees operations and strategy operations for the payments company, said in the release that those merchants face a significant chargeback burden.
Dimaggio said the automation gives Maverick partners a differentiated offering that can strengthen merchant relationships and create new recurring revenue streams.
The claim remains company-owned, but it shows the commercial logic behind embedding dispute automation in a broader payments platform.
Findustry AI founder and CEO Jonathan Razi described Chargeback Agent as an "AI payments employee" for merchants of any size.
He said the agent decides which cases to fight, which to automate and which to surface for quick review.
The partnership also fits a wider distribution shift in payments.
In a separate PYMNTS interview posted Aug. 6, Maverick's Jonathan Aguilar said payments providers are leaning on network-led distribution: independent sales organizations, independent software vendors and downstream partners can carry merchant acquisition beyond one-by-one sales relationships.
That model depends on partner infrastructure that can support multiple channels.
Automated chargeback management gives Maverick another function to place inside that channel stack, alongside payment processing.
The remaining test is adoption at merchant level.
PYMNTS cited its Intelligence report finding that chargeback costs and prevalence continue to rise, but the release did not disclose pricing, merchant uptake, win-rate results or the number of partners expected to offer Chargeback Agent first.
