Meta Brings Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 to India With 27 Frame and Lens Options
Meta Newsroom says Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is now available in India, with nine-hour battery life, a six-microphone array, 12 MP camera and prices starting at INR 44,300.

Meta Newsroom says Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 has gone on sale in India as the company links a local brand-ambassador campaign with a wider update to its AI glasses lineup.
The announcement puts actor Ranveer Singh in the lead ambassador role for both Ray-Ban lines in India and centres the campaign on a consumer device rather than a software-only feature release.
The India rollout gives Meta and Ray-Ban a more specific hardware story to tell in one of the world’s largest mobile markets.
Gen 3 is presented as the next version of the company’s AI glasses and is available through meta.com, in.rayban.com, consumer electronics retailers, and optical and eyewear retailers in India.
Prices start at INR 44,300.
The model keeps the product anchored in familiar Ray-Ban designs while changing several technical details.
Meta lists 27 colour and lens combinations across three styles: Aviator, Zena and Wayfarer.
Zena is described as a new cat-eye frame, while a limited-edition Aviator colourway marks the 90th anniversary of that frame.
Battery life is one of the clearer generation-to-generation changes.
Gen 3 is rated for up to nine hours, one hour more than Gen 2, and the company also points to professional-adjustable temple tips for fit.
A new customisable action button is intended to give faster access to Meta AI without turning the glasses into a phone-like device.
The audio and capture hardware also move the product toward everyday use cases.
Meta says a six-microphone array cuts more than 90% of background noise for calls and voice commands in windy or crowded locations.
For capture, the glasses pair a 12 MP camera with video recording at 3K Ultra HD, while dynamic photos lets users pick a frame after the moment is recorded.
A built-in LED light remains part of the design to signal when photos or video are being taken.
The launch messaging pairs those specifications with routine tasks such as listening to music and podcasts, making hands-free calls, checking a busy calendar or using Meta AI without taking out a phone.
Singh’s quote in the announcement frames the product around personal style and Meta’s goal of building AI glasses for a wider audience, but the device details carry the operational news: India now has retail access to the latest generation.
Meta also previewed a separate Ray-Ban Meta Audio model.
That version is described as the company’s lightest and slimmest AI glasses, weighing 43 grams, with adjustable or swappable nose pads, overextension hinges and up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The included charging case is listed as adding up to 48 hours.
The next software step is Muse, which Meta says will come to its AI glasses in the coming months.
The feature is planned as a hands-free agent that can be activated by name and can respond to what the wearer is looking at, including products on shelves, fliers on walls or school-supply lists.
