ASRock Rack Shows 1U Arm AGI Server Before CPU Ramp
ASRock Rack displayed a 1U4E1S-ARM server for Arm’s AGI CPU at Computex 2026, with one processor, 136 Neoverse V3 cores and PCIe Gen6 connectivity, ServeTheHome reported. The report did not list pricing, customer deployments or a commercial launch date for the 1U system.

Rack Design Arrives Before Volume Production
ASRock Rack showed a 1U server built around Arm’s upcoming AGI processor at Computex 2026, giving the CPU an early rack design before it reaches volume production.
The 1U4E1S-ARM uses one AGI processor and is intended for dense CPU deployments rather than a low-core-count, high-performance configuration, ServeTheHome reported.
ASRock Rack is a launch supporter for Arm’s AGI CPU.
The company previously announced a larger 2OU2N-ARM system with two compute nodes, each powered by an ARMD12M3 motherboard.
The 1U4E1S-ARM uses the same motherboard family in a smaller, single-processor chassis.
Although the two systems differ in size and processor count, the 1U design has the same processor density as the larger system, rather than half its density.
The booth system showed an engineering design, not a completed customer deployment.
Arm announced the AGI CPU in March, but volume production is not scheduled until later in 2026.
136 Cores Feed 12 Memory Channels
The AGI processor is built on TSMC’s 3nm process and contains 136 Arm Neoverse V3 cores.
Its highest-clocked version is targeted at 3.7GHz, while the base TDP is 300W.
Those specifications point toward a high-density server CPU with many cores operating within a power envelope comparable to other contemporary server processors.
The chip supports 12 channels of DDR5 memory at speeds of up to DDR5-8800.
ASRock Rack used one DIMM per channel, split across the two sides of the processor, to route the memory channels on the compact motherboard.
PCIe Gen6, CXL and E1.S Storage
The AGI is also among the first server CPUs to offer PCIe Gen6 connectivity.
It supports 96 PCIe Gen6 lanes and CXL 3.0, with about 80 lanes exposed through the 1U4E1S-ARM’s expansion and storage configuration.
The system has one full-height, full-length PCIe Gen6 x16 slot and one half-height, half-length PCIe Gen6 x16/x8 slot.
Another 16 lanes connect to an OCP NIC 3.0 slot.
Storage includes two internal M.2 slots at the rear and four front hot-swap E1.S bays rated for PCIe Gen5 x4 speeds.
Two redundant 800-watt 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies provide system power.
The board also includes a pair of QSFP ports, although their configuration and controller were not clear from the booth display.
Production Still Sets the Boundary
ASRock Rack has not released further details on the server, and the 1U4E1S-ARM was not yet listed on its website.
Arm’s first announced direct customer for the AGI is Meta, but no public information connects Meta to this particular ASRock Rack system.
The design is therefore ready for the processor it was built to support, while the commercial launch depends on Arm’s later-2026 production ramp.
Pricing, order volumes, customer deployments and a launch date for the 1U4E1S-ARM remain undisclosed.
