Temus has invested in Thinking Machines Data Science, giving the Philippine AI company a larger Southeast Asia route for enterprise deployments.

Back End News reported that the Singapore-based AI and digital transformation company made the investment in the Filipina-founded firm, which is headquartered in the Philippines.

The deal is aimed at moving AI projects from pilot work into operating systems across the region.

The Manila company began operating in 2015 and has since built data platforms and AI deployments for financial services, retail, conglomerate and civic-sector customers.

Thinking Machines Adds OpenAI Partner Status

The report identified Thinking Machines as the first official OpenAI Services Partner in Asia Pacific and later reached OpenAI Advanced Partner status.

Its footprint now spans Manila, Singapore and Bangkok, and it has trained more than 10,000 professionals in AI and deployed hundreds of AI systems into production.

Sy, founder and chief executive of Thinking Machines Data Science and managing director for applied AI and data at Temus, said the transaction would let the company scale while keeping its team, clients and mission.

The investment size and ownership terms were not disclosed.

Temus Links AI Engineering With Enterprise Delivery

The commercial plan pairs the Philippine team's AI implementation work with Temus' enterprise transformation, cloud engineering, consulting and delivery infrastructure.

The companies said the combined offer covers AI strategy, data engineering, governance, workflow integration, workforce training and deployment.

Temus has about 500 employees and was established by Temasek to support Singapore's Smart Nation and National AI Strategy initiatives.

The company is also expanding across Southeast Asia as enterprises work through fragmented data, older IT systems and AI talent constraints.

Sng Ren Yeong, chief executive of Temus, said many enterprises are trying to run AI systems under real operating conditions, including constrained data, regulatory requirements and complex workflows.

He said Thinking Machines brings engineering and governance capability to that layer of deployment.

The transaction still lacks disclosed financial terms, ownership stakes, customer names tied to the combined offer, integration milestones and measured results from new joint deployments.

Back End News did not disclose target industries beyond the listed regulated sectors or a timetable for the first Temus-Thinking Machines delivery under the new investment.
