Regions Bank Digital Transactions Reach 80% After Mobile Upgrade
PYMNTS reported that Regions Bank’s second-quarter materials listed digital transactions at 80% of customer activity, with mobile users, logins, Zelle usage and chat volume rising as core modernisation continues.

A Friday Regions presentation listed digital transactions at 80% of customer activity in the second quarter, turning the bank's mobile upgrade into a measurable test of regional-bank digital adoption.
PYMNTS reported the figures from Regions Financial Corp.'s earnings materials and executive call.
The disclosed metrics connect app usage, payments behaviour and core-system modernisation.
Regions' presentation put mobile active users at 2.73 million, mobile banking logins at 211 million and digital transactions up from 75% two years earlier.

The same presentation put Zelle usage 44% higher than two years earlier and customer chat volume 70% higher year over year.
Service-cost, call-centre and branch-staffing effects remain outside the disclosed metrics.
John M. Turner, Regions' president, CEO and chairman, told investors that online banking and mobile app offerings are key initiatives in the company's long-term strategy.
He cited surveys that placed the bank first among regional banks for both online banking satisfaction and its mobile app.
Regions Completes Commercial Lending Platform And Targets Core Deposit Pilot In 2027
Core modernisation work continued during the quarter.
The bank completed implementation of a new commercial lending platform and made progress on a core deposit transformation that is expected to reach a pilot phase later this year and full conversion in 2027, in the earnings material.
The commercial-lending platform links customer-facing digital channels with back-office systems.
Management described the implementation as a step towards improving technology infrastructure, speed to market and the experience delivered to clients and bankers.
Regions Adds Frazer Lanier To Capital Markets Platform
After the end of the second quarter, the bank expanded services by acquiring The Frazer Lanier Company, a Montgomery, Alabama-based investment banking firm focused on municipal and corporate securities.
The transaction expands Regions' capital markets platform, strengthens municipal finance expertise and broadens solutions for public-sector and institutional clients.
Regions acquired Frazer Lanier after the quarter ended, adding municipal and corporate securities capability alongside the digital channel expansion.
The company website and recent material cited by PYMNTS put the bank operates across the South, Midwest and Texas, including 1,200 banking offices and 1,750 ATMs.
The earnings material leaves measured cost saving, deposit-programme conversion success and mobile-linked customer retention outside the public record.
